the dusty goose
It’s taken 2 nights sleeping in this sublet to discover that the 4 of us have an extreme allergy to goose feathers. We wake up sneezing, we walk around the house sneezing, we’re flying through the cheap toilet paper that Tyler got at a gas station after I texted him, panicked about our meager supply versus Rowan’s pending impressive morning-time colonic harvests. After more sneezing after switching out the blankets and pillows for those in our old house, I finally realized that the beds also have massive goose-down mattress toppers, which is great for comfort and horrible for, you know, breathing. Tyler looked into it and apparently the Big GooseFeather Lobby asserts that it’s not the feathers people are allergic to but the DUST, but…the feathers are carrying that dust, so…which came first? The dusty goose or the dusty goose egg?
I’m doing so many things at once that my stomach has a low, dull ache all day. I’m wired, but utterly exhausted. I’m recording and sending in auditions, I’m filing taxes, I’m recording and editing a million voiceover auditions a day, I’m moving the entire contents out of our house either into storage or our new sublet so that our house looks “bigger” and will “sell for more.” At night, I’m mainlining episodes of Selling Sunset, a terrible show I tried watching when Covid hit and couldn’t withstand yet now am watching for real estate tips (remove all contingencies when you really want to buy a 3.6 million dollar house while getting other potential buyers out of the way!!!!!).
In honor of the yawning hope chasm that is the current real estate market in Los Angeles, on Wednesday I’ll be releasing an exclusive interview on the paid version of this newsletter. It’s less than $5 a month for one or two extra newsletters per month, all with exclusive content such as interviews, playlists, and more.
On Wednesday, I’ll reveal what went down with the dream house I wrote about a couple weeks ago (spoiler: JK sign up lol), an interview about the insane LA real estate market with a Sotheby’s and Dear LA broker, and a special playlist just for u.
In the great voice of Karina Longworth…join me, won’t you?
